I have been very quiet on the cosplay front these past few months but I assure that I will become more active in the upcoming months.

For those of you in NZ who weren't aware of why I wasn't at Auckland Armageddon it was due o me getting an acting job which ran over the four days of the convention. I am still looking for a castle type setting for Virgo so if anyone knows of a place in Tauranga/The Bay of Plenty that would do for a shoot, please let me know. November has been dedicated to NaNoWriMo and only in procrastinating have I done any cosplay work. I am also getting more into drawing but don't expect to see any up here.

I haven't been keeping up with anime at all and only reading some of the manga I follow and therefore have a mile long list to catch up on when I get the motivation. The only things I have been following as they come out are Kuroshitsuji, Enigma, Yu-Gi-Oh! ZeXal and Dr Who (so excited for the Xmas special).

I have complete and waiting for me to get photos of:
-Virgo (Fairy Tail)
-Beast (Kuroshitsuji)
-Simca (Air Gear)



On to 2012

So far for 2012 I have the following planned:
-Cassis Soda Temptation (Coloured Pencil gijinka group)
-Haou Judai (Yu-Gi-Oh! GX)
-Asmodeus (Umineko)
-Zhen Ji (Dynasty Warriors 7)
-Sugata -casual ver (Star Driver)

And I know there are groups I have joined or cosplays I am forgetting. Please remind me if you know of any of these as I have a terrible memory.

I would also like to use this to explain a fear of mine. I am a huge fan of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, I have seen at least nearly every episode out and play the TCG. Now I up until a year and a half ago when I decided to give it a go, used to bash GX and Judai/Jaden because the premise for the show seemed stupid. I had no justification for doing this. It's actually a really good show. Yes the first two seasons are pretty silly and fun but 3 & 4 are really quite dark.
   I will admit that I am a huge fan of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged universe myself but it is due to this that I am legit kinda scared of cosplaying Judai. In the series there is a lot of GX/Jaden bashing, especially in the BBT movie. While it's all in good fun, I know that some people take things like that into real life and I do not want someone recognizing my Haou cosplay as a version of Judai/Jaden and then putting down the character cause they think it's cool to do so. I know that NZ is a lot calmer and nicer than other countries but it's just a silly fear that I have.
   I also have confidence that I will finish this costume because of the colour scheme and the fact I have never not finished a majority black with gold/yellow trim costume I have planned.




So to summarize:

-I am still cosplaying
-I have still not gotten out of my habit of baring my stomach in costume.
-I am entering the world of improbable hairstyles that is Yu-Gi-Oh! cosplay.
-I am moving to Auckland next year for real  for uni.
