I absolutely love your Sinon cosplay! You did a really good job on it. I haven't read the books, but I've been watching the S2 episodes as they come out, and I love Sinon. I'm hoping to make a cosplay of her. I was wondering: did you use stretchy fabric for her bodysuit or not? Did you sew the bodysuit to the shorts or is it a separate piece that goes under the shorts? How do you get in and out of it (did you sew a zipper into the back?)? If you don't mind sharing what you did, and maybe even what you would change to make it better.
The jacket and chaps are pretty straightforward, but I've been trying to think of as many different ways to make the bodysuit, and then choose the best idea. At first, I wanted to make it like a swimsuit, but then I thought that would make using the restroom difficult.
Thank you! I made it out of a thic, 4way stetch cotton lycra and did make it like a swimsuit/leotard, the black trim is also stretch so it's all very, stretchy and easy to get on/move in. Mine I step into and pull up, then fasten bra-straps that are attached to where the cups in the costume are. I would say putting domes or something in the crotch would be a smart idea if you plan on wearing it for more than half a day, I didn't really consider this for mine because I only wore her an afternoon at the con I made her for. If I wear her again, aside from changing bits to match the anime, I'd add domes to the crotch but that's about it as far as I can think of. I hope that helps any.
Hi!!! I absolutely love your cosplay!!<3 I wanted to Cosplay as Sinon as well. If you don't mind me asking, how did you and your dad make your rifle? I've been looking for a decent one and can't find one. But then I saw yours and it looks amazing.
Thank you! The barrel is made from a broomstick, round bits such as the scope are made from bits of a dismantled childrens scooter and the rest is made from wood cut with a jigsaw and then sanded into shape. Everything is both glued and screwed together. The barrel is removable and has a screws into where it joins the chamber so that it's removable for travel.
